You should stop hiring “Virtual Assistants” and start hiring people for specific, defined roles.
In reality, a virtual assistant is an easy way to just slap any ol’ job title and task onto somebody and call it a day. Rather than defining a job with clear roles, rules, KPIs, and expectations, instead you just expect somebody to “figure out” anything and everything you ever need them to do. That’s something that’s reserved for an executive assistant.
This is why most business owners who are hiring a virtual assistant are doomed to fail – they can’t even tell you WHAT a virtual assistant is.
