Candidates are using AI for everything now. Their resumes. Their cover letters. Their trial tasks. They even use it to deep-fake how they look on an interview.
And they think nobody can tell.
lol.
But here’s the question nobody’s asking…
What if the candidates don’t have the actual ability to use AI well?
(They don’t)
A sharp employee using AI is 10x faster than they were two years ago. The A-Players? 100x.
They prompt it. They review the output. They talk with it. Train it.
They make it a weapon. They are a Delta Force soldier.
A mediocre employee using AI produces 10x more garbage in the same amount of time.
They take the output. They don’t review it. They slap a label on it, call it done, clock out.
And you — the person hiring them, and then, paying them — have no idea the difference.
Because the output LOOKS the same.
Your best people are now superhuman. Your worst people are now producing polished dog turds at scale.
And unless you know what to look for, you can’t tell the difference until the damage is already done.
The content that tanks your brand. The code that collapses under load. The emails that sound great and do nothing but “align and clarify”.
AI is gasoline.
Pour it on a fire and you get an inferno. Pour it on wet wood and you get nothing. Pour it on a pile of trash and you get…a bigger fire of trash.
They’re using AI. Trust me.
The question is…
Do they know enough to use it well?
Or are you hiring someone to try to turn those turds into lemonade?
