Dakota Robertson · Client Story
Hire a Virtual Assistant From $1,000/Month
Virtual Assistant · Part-time · Placed by HireUA
20+ hours a week, back. VAs from cheaper platforms needed hand-holding. Kate, the VA HireUA placed for Dakota, took over his DMs, content repurposing, engagement groups and monthly swipe file. He had five interviews booked in under a week.

“I show her stuff once and she’s just on the ball. You don’t have to hand-hold her.”

Your Time, In Perspective
Your Company Does $1 Million a Year. Why Are You Still Doing $5 Tasks?
Your inbox. Your calendar. Your CRM. All somehow still your problem. You didn’t start a business to become its administrative assistant.
$1,000,000
a year in revenue
÷
2,000
founder work hours a year
=
$500/hr
what an hour of your time is worth to the business
Now count the hours that went to email, rescheduling, CRM updates and invoices. 15 hours a week of admin is 780 hours a year: nearly 20 full work weeks. (Illustrative revenue-per-hour math, not a valuation of founder pay or VA wages.)

Saved every week
His first hire ever, decided in 10 days.
Jordan Nelson was running his business and a community on his own. His VA, Valeriia, now schedules speakers, runs events, posts videos and sends invoices. “I haven’t had any trouble with timelines, time zones, English — anything like that.”

300+
Sales calls booked
A VA for sales who owns the follow-up.
Bert Fernandez hired Natalia in 2022 to run lead follow-ups, handoffs and client reporting. When the business grew from 3–4 clients to 10–12, he came back and hired Maria. Natalia now mentors her.

Quality Over Cheap
The Cheapest VA Might Be Your Most Expensive Hire.
What’s the point of saving money if you spend ten extra hours a month fixing mistakes? Dakota had tried cheaper VAs before HireUA.
“You really have to hand-hold them with stuff and walk them through how to do things, and a lot of the time you have to do it multiple times.”
Dakota Robertson, on the VAs he hired before HireUA

The Objection We Hear
“It’s Faster to Just Do It Myself.”
In the moment? Maybe. Over the next 12 months? Probably not. Start with two or three repeatable tasks. Record how you do them. Review the first few attempts, then let your VA own it.
STEP 1
Show.
Record the task once, the way you do it today.
STEP 2
Supervise.
Review the first few attempts. Correct once, in writing.
STEP 3
Shut Up.
Let them own it. Check the result, not the process.
Jordan Nelson found the same thing: getting his work into a system for his VA helped him as much as it helped her.

FAQ
Still Have Questions?
Do I need a full-time Virtual Assistant?
Not necessarily. Dakota and Jordan both started part-time, around 20 hours a week. Some companies have a full-time workload from day one. We’ll talk through the real workload first.
What does a VA cost?
Around $1,000 a month part-time and $1,500 a month full-time, paid to your VA. It moves with hours, tools and experience.
How quickly can I hire?
Candidates are presented within 5 days of kickoff. How fast you hire after that depends on your interviews and the candidate’s availability. Jordan decided in 10 days.
What if I don’t know what to delegate?
Start with work you repeat that doesn’t need your judgment: scheduling, CRM updates, inbox triage, document prep, customer follow-ups. You don’t need every task mapped before the call.
Will my assistant speak good English?
We screen communication for the actual job. A customer-facing role needs different spoken English than internal admin work.
VA or Executive Assistant: what’s the difference?
A Virtual Assistant runs recurring tasks and processes. An Executive Assistant uses more independent judgment, manages competing priorities and anticipates what you need next. We’ll help you scope the right role.
