Account Managers We’ve Helped Hire
Real People. Real Businesses. Real Results.

At least 50%
Savings on his first Account Manager vs. a US hire
ZHS Ecom
Zach, founder of ZHS Ecom, first hired an Account Manager and a designer through HireUA. The hires took fulfillment and client communication off his plate so he could focus on growing the business. Then he came back for more: 7 hires across his agency’s core team.

3 hires
Including an Account Manager
Optima Digital
Optima Digital turned to HireUA after struggling to find the right talent. Founder Caolan credits the quality of the hires: “We’ve gained more clients, you retain clients for longer, you provide a better service.” Optima became a repeat client.

2 weeks
Vs. 4 months with another provider
Email Engineers
Matias Pirelli runs Email Engineers. A competing provider spent four months trying to fill his seat. HireUA placed Tanya, a Project Manager from Ukraine, in two weeks. She became the link between clients and his internal team, doing account management under another title.
The Problem
You Don’t Need Another Middleman.
You hired an Account Manager to get client communication off your plate. Instead, you’ve become the manager of your Account Manager. A client complains about a missed deadline. Your AM forwards the message to you. You explain what to do. They copy your response back to the client. Congratulations. You’ve hired a very expensive messenger.
The Forwarder
- Waits for clients to report problems
- Escalates every difficult conversation
- Needs approval before making simple decisions
- Sends long, fluffy messages that say very little
- Adds another layer of communication between you and your clients
- Makes you wonder why you’re paying them in the first place
The Owner
- Spots problems before clients complain
- Handles difficult conversations independently
- Knows when to make a judgment call and when to escalate
- Communicates clearly, directly, and professionally
- Protects client relationships without giving away the farm
- Gives you back the time you hired them to recover
Bottom line: A great Account Manager makes your business less dependent on you. A bad one makes it more dependent.
The Role
Your Clients. Their Responsibility.
A good Account Manager owns the relationship between your business and its clients. They’re the first person clients contact, the person responsible for resolving problems, and the person making sure small frustrations don’t turn into cancellation emails. Here’s what that actually looks like.
01
Client Communication
Own day-to-day communication across Slack, email, calls, and other channels. Clients shouldn’t need to contact the founder to get an answer.
02
Onboarding & Expectations
Guide new clients through onboarding, explain processes, establish expectations, and make sure the relationship starts on the right foot.
03
Problem Resolution
Handle complaints, missed deadlines, scope disagreements, and difficult situations without escalating every decision.
04
Client Retention
Monitor client satisfaction, identify problems early, and take action before an unhappy client decides to leave.
05
Project Coordination
Work with internal teams to keep deliverables moving, deadlines on track, and clients informed about what’s happening.
06
Account Growth
Identify opportunities to expand existing relationships, recommend additional services, and help increase the value of each account.
Not All Account Managers Are Created Equal
Nice Isn’t Enough. You Need Someone With a Spine.
Some of the nicest people in the world make terrible Account Managers. They’re friendly. They’re responsive. They remember birthdays. But when a client makes an unreasonable request, they freeze. When something goes wrong, they escalate. When a client pushes back, they immediately cave. The best Account Managers are warm, but firm. We look for people with five qualities:
01
Judgment
They can handle situations that aren’t covered by an SOP. They understand the difference between a problem they should solve and one that genuinely needs management involvement.
02
Ownership
They treat their clients as their responsibility. They follow through, anticipate problems, and don’t wait for instructions every morning.
03
Excellent Communication
Fluent English is the starting point. They also need to communicate clearly, concisely, and confidently. No five-paragraph Slack messages about alignment and collaboration.
04
Emotional Intelligence
They can read people, de-escalate frustrated clients, and understand when to push, when to listen, and when to compromise.
05
Commercial Awareness
They understand that client satisfaction matters because retention matters. They’re protecting relationships that generate revenue.
WARM, BUT FIRM
Nice Isn’t the Job.
They can deliver bad news without apologizing for existing. They know how to say no without destroying a relationship. And they don’t need a 45-minute meeting to resolve something that should take two messages.
What Clients Say
In Their Own Words.

Global Talent
Great Account Managers Aren’t Limited to Your Zip Code.
You don’t need someone sitting in an expensive American office to manage your client relationships. You need someone who speaks excellent English, understands your customers, and can make good decisions. We recruit across 40+ countries, selecting candidates based on the role rather than forcing every search into the same country.
EUROPE
Eastern Europe
A strong market for experienced, English-speaking professionals with backgrounds in international business, agency operations, and client management. Particularly attractive for companies that value direct communication, independent problem-solving, and overlap with European or US working hours.
LATAM
Latin America
An excellent option for US businesses that want Account Managers working closely with their clients throughout the American business day. We recruit candidates with backgrounds in customer success, account management, operations, and international services.
THE TALENT POOL MOST COMPANIES OVERLOOK
Hospitality
Some of the best Account Managers don’t have Account Manager on their resumes. They’ve worked in luxury hotels, premium airlines and high-end travel. Someone who’s spent years managing demanding guests at a five-star hotel has already learned how to handle unreasonable requests, communicate professionally, resolve unexpected problems, and represent a brand.
We hire for the person who can do the job, not the person with the prettiest LinkedIn title.

Anyone can search LinkedIn for Account Managers. The difficult part is figuring out who can actually manage an account.

Questions
Account Manager FAQs
What’s the difference between an Account Manager and a Client Success Manager?
For most agencies and B2B service businesses, there isn’t much difference. Both roles are responsible for managing client relationships, solving problems, maintaining communication, and helping clients get results. Client Success Manager is a more common title in some agencies and SaaS businesses. Account Manager is commonly used in broader B2B environments. We focus on what you actually need the person to do, not what you call them.
How much does it cost to hire an Account Manager?
An experienced Account Manager from Eastern Europe or Latin America typically costs approximately $2,500–$3,000 per month. More specialized candidates with significant industry experience or advanced responsibilities generally cost $3,000–$3,500 per month, sometimes more. Final compensation depends on experience, responsibilities, working hours, and required skills. HireUA’s fees are separate: Direct Hire is 15% of annual salary with a $3,000 minimum.
Should I hire an Account Manager or a Customer Support Representative?
It depends on the work. If you need someone answering repetitive questions, processing requests, and following established procedures, you probably need Customer Support. If you need someone managing ongoing client relationships, handling difficult conversations, making judgment calls, and protecting revenue, you need an Account Manager. The distinction is ownership.
Can I hire an Account Manager part-time?
Yes. For a dedicated client-facing Account Manager, we generally recommend a minimum of 20 hours per week. Ten hours sounds attractive until a client has an urgent issue on a day your Account Manager isn’t working. If you have a substantial client portfolio, full-time is usually the better option.
Can a remote Account Manager work US business hours?
Absolutely. We recruit across Latin America and Eastern Europe, among other markets, and can prioritize candidates who can work the hours your business requires. For US businesses needing consistent daytime coverage, Latin America is often a natural starting point.
What experience should I look for?
Start with excellent communication, experience dealing directly with clients, sound judgment, and a demonstrated ability to resolve problems independently. Experience in your particular industry is valuable, but it isn’t always essential. Someone with strong account management fundamentals can often learn a new CRM or project management tool quickly. Teaching someone good judgment is considerably harder.
How long does it take to hire an Account Manager?
Qualified candidates are presented within 5 days of kickoff; total time depends on your interviews and decision.
How do I know if my Account Manager is performing well?
Start by measuring what actually matters. Are clients staying? Are problems being resolved quickly? Is communication improving? And most importantly, are fewer client issues landing on your desk? Other useful metrics include response times, resolution times, retention, proactive client outreach, and the percentage of problems resolved without escalation. A great Account Manager should make the business less dependent on its founder over time.
What’s the difference between Monthly Hire and Direct Hire?
With Monthly Hire, you pay HireUA, and we pay and administer your Account Manager, including payroll and compliance. With Direct Hire, you employ the person directly and pay HireUA a placement fee of 15% of annual salary, with a $3,000 minimum.
