On cost, Zach estimated the Account Manager came in at “at least fifty percent” below a comparable US hire. For the designer role, he put a full-time US graphic designer at “probably about sixty grand a year.”

He also explained why good designers are hard to find: he needed someone who is quick, creates beautiful emails, works efficiently and works well with the team, all in one person.
